Your project, its written warranty
Keep the applicable product and installation warranty documents with your approved scope and project records.
Coverage follows the installed system
Floodman projects can include waterproofing products, a sump system, drainage and dehumidification equipment. Product coverage and installation coverage may be different. The written terms supplied for the work identify the covered components, conditions and period that apply to that installation.
For Hydro Armor Shield, ask for the written warranty for the specified waterproofing system. For pumps and dehumidifiers, keep the equipment model and installation information as well as the applicable warranty documents.
Check these details before approval
- Which work, products and equipment are covered, and who provides that coverage.
- When the coverage starts and the period stated in the written terms.
- Whether labor, replacement parts and related installation work are included.
- Maintenance, operation and access requirements that apply to the system.
- Exclusions, claim instructions and any transfer conditions or required notice.
A warranty for one component does not automatically cover unrelated water entry, other equipment or work outside the approved scope.
Keep the documents together
Retain your approved estimate or work authorization, changes, installation information, completion records and applicable warranty documents. These records help the office identify what was supplied and which terms apply.
If you are selling the property, ask about the written transfer requirements before relying on coverage for a new owner. The requirements depend on the actual warranty, not a general description of the service.
